OREANDA-NEWS The last song of the British rock band The Beatles has officially been released. This is reported on the collective's website.

It is noted that the composition called Now and Then became the final in the history of the "Liverpool four", on which all the members of The Beatles worked at different times — John Lennon, George Harrison, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr. The creation of the track took 45 years in total. Initially, on Thursday, November 2, Now and Then was broadcast on the BBC radio station, after which the work became available on all music streaming platforms.

The song was based on lyrics and a demo recording by Lennon, who made it to the accompaniment of a piano in 1978. In 1994, the widow of musician Yoko Ono gave this version to McCartney. Then the remaining members of The Beatles tried to complete the song, but could not due to the technical limitations of the time. Now and Then, recorded on a cassette in limited quality, was recreated using neural networks. Harrison recorded the guitar part in 1995, and in 2022 and 2023 the track was completed by McCartney and Starr.
