OREANDA-NEWS. The final phase of Famelab (Fame Laboratory) contest, the joint project of British Council and the Caucasus University took place. Founded by Cheltenham Science Festival, UK, the contest aims at encouraging students who exercise special interest for science and technologies to share their views. The final phase that gathered people between 18-35 age engaged in science, sociology, technology, engineering, medicine and math and enabling qualifying only 10 participants out of multitude ones was very tense and interesting. BHOS student Mirlan Karimov’s presentation on “Mechanical Waves and Resonances” became the winner of the contest. The winner will represent our country at Cheltenham Science Festival, June 2016. The students of ADA, Caucasus University, Baku State University, Azerbaijan Medical University won other prizes. In concluding part of the event Caucasus University rector Ahmat Senich and British Council country director, Elizabeth White granted the presents to participants of the contest and the awards to the winners.
