OREANDA-NEWS First Deputy Head of the Ministry of Health Viktor Fisenko stated the normalization of the situation with coronavirus in Russia in the last few days. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

Speaking at a meeting in the Federation Council, Fisenko recalled that a few days ago there was an increase in morbidity, which created an unprecedented burden on the healthcare system.

"Literally the last few days we have been recording the normalization of the situation," Fisenko said at a meeting in the Federation Council on the implementation of national projects in the social sphere.

He clarified that a few weeks ago there was a significant increase in morbidity, due to which the burden on the outpatient health care unit turned out to be unprecedented. Queues in medical institutions were recorded in some regions. The situation was monitored in the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and regional ministries.

Now the federal headquarters records a decrease in morbidity. So, over the previous day, 132,998 new cases of COVID-19 were registered in Russia - almost 5 thousand less than the day before. And a day before that, the number of people who recovered after covid exceeded the number of new cases of infection.

Some regions have already begun to relax covid restrictions. For example, in the Saratov and Novgorod regions, it is no longer necessary to present a QR code when visiting public places, and in the Voronezh Region, middle and high school students returned to their desks after distance learning. The Orel authorities lifted the ban on night work of catering establishments.
