Russia to develop three new cancer vaccines

OREANDA-NEWS Russia intends to create three new vaccines against oncological diseases, Alexander Gintsburg, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, scientific director of the Scientific Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after Gamaleya, told RIA Novosti.
"In the future, we plan to develop vaccines for bladder cancer, small cell lung cancer and colorectal cancer," he said.
In April, the first patient received a personalized vaccine for the treatment of melanoma. He became a 60-year-old resident of the Kursk region.
As Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced in April, Russians will be able to receive treatment with such drugs as part of compulsory medical insurance.
