OREANDA-NEWS  The Angara-A5 heavy-class rocket launched from the Plesetsk cosmodrome in the Arkhangelsk Region with spacecraft. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry, RIA Novosti reports.

"On June 19th, 2025, an Angara-A5 launch vehicle with spacecraft on board was launched from the Plesetsk cosmodrome (Arkhangelsk Region) in the interests of the Russian Ministry of Defense," the statement said.

The launch was the tenth in the history of the Angara rocket. Since 2014, five launches of the light version of the Angara-1 have been carried out from the Plesetsk cosmodrome.2" and three — heavy versions of the Angara-A5.

Earlier, Dmitry Bakanov, CEO of the Roscosmos state corporation, said that the development of the Angara-A5B heavy rocket, a version of the Angara—A5 carrier with an oxygen-hydrogen third stage of the KVTK, is scheduled to be completed in 2030.
