OREANDA-NEWS. Igor Kirillov, head of radiation, chemical and biological protection of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, said that 30 biological laboratories were operating in Ukraine. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

“The Russian Ministry of Defense has repeatedly drawn attention to the military biological programs that are being implemented by the Pentagon in the post-Soviet space. In particular, a network has been formed on the territory of Ukraine, which includes more than 30 biological laboratories, which can be divided into research and sanitary-epidemiological ones,” Kirillov said.

According to him, the customer of the work carried out in these laboratories was the US Department of Defense Office for Defense Threat Reduction, and Black and Veatch, a company associated with the department, participated in the implementation of the projects. Kirillov added that the activities under these programs were carried out in three directions: monitoring the biological situation, collecting and exporting strains of dangerous microorganisms to the United States, as well as research work to study potential agents of biological weapons specific to this region, which have natural foci and are capable of be transmitted to a person.

Earlier the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Major General Igor Konashenkov, said that during a special military operation in Ukraine, facts were discovered of cleaning up the traces of a military biological program being implemented in the country, which was financed by the US Department of Defense. According to him, the documentation received from employees of Ukrainian biological laboratories confirms that “in Ukrainian biological laboratories, in close proximity to the territory of Russia, the development of biological weapons components was carried out.”

Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin instructed to check the information about the creation of biological weapons on the territory of Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the department.

“Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia A.I. Bastrykin instructed his subordinates to request information, study the voiced data, and upon confirmation of the information, the head of the department demanded that the investigators make a decision to initiate a criminal case and identify all the persons involved in the crime, ”the report says.
