OREANDA-NEWS. June 08, 2007. The experts have seen that the facilities are safe and ready for further operation, reported the press-centre of Rosenergoatom.

The inspection was part of the regular procedure for adopting a hydraulic works safety declaration, a document passed by state supervisory agencies once in five years.

The inspection was led by the chief engineer of Kursk NPP Alexander Uvakin. Among the inspectors were independent experts from Promtekhexpert Center and Promtekhnologia Ltd (Belgorod) as well as representatives of Rostekhnadzor and Emergency Ministry in Kursk region.

The experts have found out that the hydraulic works of the plant comply with the safety standards and have necessary control and measuring equipment.

“The works are repaired regularly and timely and are ready for further operation,” says their resolution.
