OREANDA-NEWS. On 19 May 2008 was announced, that the volume of inter-bank transactions for the week amounted to 5 580.3 million soms, which is below the average weekly amount for the previous month by 1,987.3 million soms (-26.3%). Details are as follows:

payments in the clearing system have decreased by 24.9% compared to the average weekly volume for the previous month, and made 883.8 million soms. The write-off payments from the Central Treasury accounts made 12.2% of the total clearing payments volume, and the transfer payments amounted to 18.0%. The Social Fund write-off and transfer payments constituted 0.9% and 7.3% correspondingly. The UIPC bilateral net position payments amounted to 0.4% of the total clearing payments volume;

payments in the gross system amounted to 4,696.5 million soms, which constituted a 26.5% decrease compared to the average weekly amount for the previous month. The share of electronic payments in the total gross payments amount was 3,006.2 million soms (64.0%).
The write-off payments from the Central Treasury accounts constituted 20.2% of the total gross payments volume, and the transfer payments amounted to 16.6%.

The number of inter-bank transactions constituted 25 492, which is below the average weekly value for the previous month by 7 396 (-22.5%); details are as follows:

the number of payments in the clearing system has decreased by 21.8%, and amounted to 24 303. The write-off payments from the Central Treasury accounts made 8.8% of the total clearing payments, and the transfer payments amounted to 46.9%. The Social Fund write-off and transfer payments made 2.7% and 6.1% correspondingly. The number of bilateral net positions of UIPC amounted to 0.4% of the total number of clearing payments;

the number of payments in the gross system constituted 1 189, which is below the average value for the previous month by 631 (-34.7%) including 1 035 (87.0%) electronic payments. The share of write-off payments from the Central Treasury accounts made 3.2% of the total number of gross payments, and the number of transfer payments amounted to 2.2%.
