OREANDA-NEWS. On 26 August 2008 was announced, that in accordance with internal regulations, Integrated Energy Systems started checking its power facilities for preparedness for the autumn-winter season. The checks will be carried out by a special task force created within IES-Holding and commissions set up at power facilities.

Following the results of the check, companies will receive an IES-Holding passport confirming their preparedness for the maximum loads of the autumn-winter season. The task force is headed by Andrey Shishkin, Operations Director of CJSC IES. He says that "one of the preconditions for obtaining the preparedness passport is timely completion of repair works, readiness of power plants and boilers to work on backup fuel, execution of limit gas supply contracts, required staffing levels of companies".

According to current information provided by the task force, the planned repairs of power plants equipment, heat and electricity networks, as well as accumulation of fuel reserve, are conducted in compliance with the program outlined by IES.

As of now, 4.6 billion roubles have been spent on the execution of the consolidated repairs program implemented by the holding company, which is more than a half of the total investments allocated in 2008 to this effect. The data as of the beginning of August show that IES-Holding companies have re-laid 44.3 km of trunk heat networks, which corresponds to 51.6% of the total stipulated by the repairs program. Repair works have been conducted on 65 turbines with the aggregate capacity of 3,916.3 MW (50.7% of the annual plan) and 105 power-plant boilers with the aggregate capacity of 25,755 t/h (52% of the annual plan).
