OREANDA-NEWS. December 04, 2009. Mr. Anatoly Golomolzin, the Deputy Head of the FAS Russia, spoke on the Forum of International Air Transport Association (IATA) that was held in Vienna, Austria. The event was devoted to the jet fuel supply issues, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

More than 400 delegates including representatives of airlines - members of IATA, suppliers of jet fuel and other services and representatives of public authorities that regulate different segments of air transportation field took part in the Forum.

Within the frameworks of this event Mr. Anatoly Golomolzin presented the Report "On the way towards competitive jet fuel supply services market".

Presenting the Report, Mr. Golomolzin informed the audience about recent developments and current situation in the Russian air transportation market, measures of antimonopoly impact and development of competition in the jet fuel market as well as about the improvement of jet fuel pricing and governmental regulation of natural monopoly subjects in the Russian airports.

The representatives of business community showed the interest towards the information about the Resolution of the Russian Government № 599 of July 22, 2009 on the Rules of access to the services provided by natural monopolies in the airports. The main aims of these rules are to increase transparency of relationships between airports and airlines and to protect interests of the market participants such as airport operators, airlines, fuel-supply complexes and passengers who are the major customers of these services.

Besides, Mr. Anatoly Golomolzin informed the Forum participants that on May 12, 2009 the Russian Government approved the "Plan for improvement of pricing for jet fuel". This plan was initiated by the FAS Russia and completed with the suggestions of other interested authorities in order to settle crisis in jet fuel supply field.

The representatives of business circles noted the considerable contribution of the FAS Russia in securing competition in the Russian jet fuel supply market as well as discussed the perspectives of further activities of the FAS Russia in this direction.
