OREANDA-NEWS. March 17, 2010. Belarus’ beer output decreased 11.1% in January-February 2010 to 4.484 million decaliters, said a representative in the concern Belgospischeprom.

OJSC Krinitsa, based in Minsk, cut beer production 17.3% to 1.722 million decaliters.

Olivaria, based in the city of Minsk, produced 791,000 decaliters of beer in January-February, a decrease of 23.9% during the year.

Syabar brewery, based in Bobruisk, in the Mogilev Region, produced 904,000 decaliters of beer in the period, up 49.7% during the year.

OJSC Lidskoe Pivo (Lida Beer), in the Grodno Region, decreased beer output 17% to 614,000 decaliters.

OJSC Brest Beer produced 303,000 decaliters of beer, a decrease of 6.8%.

OJSC Rechitsapivo, located in the Gomel Region, produced 112,000 decaliters of beer in the period, a decrease of 43.4%.

Beer offering in plastic bottles went down 11.2% to 3.547 million decaliters, in glass bottles fell 11.5% to 719,000 decaliters, in kegs increased 3.2% to 179,000 decaliters and in cans fell 40.1% to 39,000 decaliters.

Belarusian beer sales decreased 12.6% on the year in January-February to 3.771 million decaliters.

Krinitsa sales went down 26.8% to 1.349 million decaliters, Olivaria sales went down 2.6% to 754,000 decaliters, Lidskoe Pivo sales decreased 7.5% to 569 decaliters, and sales of Brest Beer fell 19.1%, of Syabar increased 28.9% and of Rechitspivo dropped 41%.
