OREANDA-NEWS. June 09, 2010. Belarusians’ real incomes [adjusted for inflation] rose 6.8% in January-March 2010, the National Statistics Committee said in a press release.

Individual incomes rose 13.5% on the year in the first three months, while consumer prices increased 6.3%. As a result, incomes rose 6.8% in real terms.

Incomes per capita increased 13.6% in January-March, or 6.9% in real terms.

Compensations accounted for 55.7% of total incomes in the first quarter, up from 55.3% in January-March 2009.

Social transfers – pensions, allowances and study grants – accounted for 22.4%, up from 20.6%, and other incomes [from sales of farm produce and entrepreneurial activities, etc.] for 18.8%, down from 21.5%, and incomes from property – yield on deposit and dividends – for 3.1%, up from 2.6%.

Some 80.4% of all incomes were spent on payments for commodities and services, up from 77.6%.
