OREANDA-NEWS. October 14, 2011. Tokyo Electron Limited (TEL) announced today that the company will establish a Tokyo Electron Scholarship program at Peking University in order to support distinguished students, and to contribute to the development of the Chinese semiconductor industry.
This program provides aid for research activity expenses for promising research topics relating to semiconductors being conducted in the department of Microelectronics at Peking University. In addition, scholarships are provided to students studying those topics. The program will be implemented for four years and is expected to continue thereafter.

Peking University is one of the leading universities for semiconductor research in China, with more than 50 laboratories and about 30,000 students enrolled.
