OREANDA-NEWS. January 17, 2012. In 2011, the sales of the SOLLERS Group increased by 25 % and reached 115 765 vehicles as compared to 93 000 units in 2010. Significant increase was observed across most of the product brands produced and sold by the SOLLERS Group.

In particular, a record growth – almost twofold – was demonstrated by the SsangYong brand. In 2011, 22 692 vehicles were sold vs. 12 526 in 2010. The successful market launch of yet another NEW Actyon crossover model produced at the SOLLERS-Far East plant ensured the substantial increase in SsangYong market share and attracted the new young audience to the brand.

UAZ sales in the past year reached 63 035 units, including 6 013 vehicles delivered for the exports and 57 148 sold in domestic market, while in 2010, the total sales stood at 55 411 vehicles. Overall increase in sales was 14 %, with UAZ Patriot as the growth leader. The sales volume of this model climbed by nearly 70 % as compared with 2010.

In 2011, the sales of FIAT vehicles reached 28 254 units, which exceeds the results for 2010 by 29 % (21 943 vehicles sold). From 2012, FIAT becomes the sole and exclusive distributor of its vehicles in Russia, and also assumes warranty obligations for the entire fleet of FIAT vehicles in Russia sold through official SOLLERS dealer network since 2006.

In 2011, the sales of ISUZU trucks stood at 1 784 units.

According to Vadim Shvetsov, General Director of SOLLERS, the sales increase across key SOLLERS products exceeds the overall growth of Russian automotive market in 2011. As Mr. Shvetsov noted, the main increase in the past year was ensured among other things by successful market launch of NEW Actyon crossover as well as competent marketing policy for all products. "In 2011, the impact of various government support programs on the market was substantially lower, that is why the increased popularity of our vehicles was determined by a balanced product portfolio for each brand as well as optimal product price positioning, which became possible due to localization of manufacturing", said Vadim Shvetsov.
