OREANDA-NEWS. January 20, 2012. This was announced by Andrey Belyaninov, head of the federal Customs Service of RF at a joint press conference he was holding together with Tudor Balitchii, general director of the Customs Service of Moldova.

There have been three such terminals in Russia, but one of the, in St-Petersburg is not working now, Andrey Belyaninov has said. He has expressed confidence that the parties of Russia and Moldova will find common ground and soon answer the question concerning the increase in number of checkpoints customs processing of wine-making products from Moldova.

According to him, if there are three terminals and one of them is not working it is necessary to move it into the other geographic area, closer to the border. It has been said before that a new customs checkpoint to allow wines from Moldova to Russia is going to be opened in Bryansk.

The ministry of agriculture of Moldova has stated that opening of new customs terminals in Russia to let Moldova’s wines through will allow to reduce transportation cost of Moldova’s exporters and increase monthly sales of Moldovan wines in Russia almost twofold.
