OREANDA-NEWS. November 27, 2012. Head of Corporate Communications, Senior Vice President Michaela Huber, has also taken on responsibility for the department of sustainability at the OMV Group with effect from October 1. The department has therefore been renamed “ Corporate Communications & Sustainability” and includes also Media Relations, Internal & Public Relations, Advertising & Branding, Sponsoring, Events and Online.

In addition, Robert Lechner (37) was appointed as the second Spokesperson for the OMV Group in October 2012 and therefore succeeds Sven Pusswald, who has taken up the position of Head of the Viennese office of Public Affairs. Lechner deputises for Johannes Vetter, who has been Head of Media Relations since the beginning of 2012.

Robert Lechner worked in business journalism for more than ten years. Prior to joining OMV he was Head of Department and Managing Editor at daily newspaper Wirtschaftsblatt. He also gained experience in communications for internationally active companies in his role as Marketing Manager and Spokesperson for the Boston Consulting Group in Austria. Lechner studied business science at the Vienna University of Economics and Business.

OMV further strengthened its position through the ownership of a 97% stake in Petrol Ofisi, Turkey’s leading company in the retail and commercial business.
