OREANDA-NEWS. January 24, 2013. DTEK fulfills all labour legislation requirements and concession obligations at DTEK Sverdlovanthracite. Unscheduled compliance assessment carried out by the State Labour Inspection has not revealed any violations.

 In the course of the ongoing reorganization of the company DTEK keeps fulfilling the payment conditions stipulated by the current legislation and the collective agreement and ensures that the rights of the employees are strictly observed. DTEK regularly increases salaries at its companies following the growth of the minimum wage. In 2013, it is planned to increase the payroll at DTEK Sverdlovanthracite and DTEK Rovenkianthracite by more than 15% YoY.

 “The company is undergoing reorganization of the general management system,” says Yuriy Ryzhenkov, DTEK's COO. “DTEK is committed to fulfilling all social obligations it has undertaken and maintains regular contacts to the specialized trade unions. We involve them into the analysis of such controversial processes as outsourcing. We are investing in the enterprises even more than is stipulated by the concession agreement and will keep allocating billions of hryvnias for production development, labour safety and social projects in Luhansk region. In 2012, DTEK's capital investments in DTEK Rovenkianthracite and DTEK Sverdlovanthracite exceeded 1.2 billion hryvnias, including the 20 million hryvnias we spent on labour safety, which was not provided for by the concession agreement. Over 15 million hryvnias was invested in social development projects in Luhansk region.”

 In 2012, DTEK Rovenkianthracite and DTEK Sverdlovanthracite paid over 1.9 billion hryvnias in taxes (compared to 0.7 billion in 2011), including 229.3 million hryvnias of personal income tax. This year DTEK's payments to the Pension Fund will remain at the last year’s level, which was indicated in the official letters from the company to the municipal authorities.

 The amount of coal produced by the two companies exceeded the concession agreement requirements by 460 thousand tonnes and reached 6,895 and 7,314 thousand tonnes respectively. In 2012, the depreciation amount of DTEK Sverdlovathracite and DTEK Rovenkianthracite exceeded 660 million hryvnias. According to the agreement, in five years over 5.7 billion hryvnias will be invested in development of the companies.
