OREANDA-NEWS. September 20, 2013. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, as compared with July, 2012, it grew 8.5% in July, 2013. In the reporting period, the output increased 18.2% in the mining industry and grew 7.6% in the processing one.

Within the first 7 months of 2013 it was produced 2.5% more foodstuffs and beverages than in the same period in 2012. For example, distilled alcohol production rocketed 34,2%, flour-grinding industry showing the 35.3% increase. The output grew 11.4% at fruit and vegetable processing factories, 10.2% at cacao, chocolate and sugar confectionary factories; 10.1% at winemaking companies, 7.1% at fish processing ones and 7% at milk plants. Production, processing and canning of meat and meat products increased 6.7%; production of bread and confectionary grew 6.7%.

At the same time, production of vegetable oils and fats tumbled 89.7% down and production of mineral water and soft drinks declined 10.3%, NBS reports. In January-July, 2013 production of electric machines and equipment increased 36.7%, the metallurgic and chemical output growing 36.7% and 36% respectively. Production of other non-metal mineral products (glass, items of concrete, gypsum and cement), grew 31%, furniture manufacture increasing 4%. At the same time, in the reporting period it was produced 28% less medical devices and precious optical instruments and 19.3% less timber and woodwork.

The publishing industry output decreased 17.4%. Output of tobacco goods decreased 16%, output of TV and radio devices and communications means dropped 15.9% and output of machines and equipment decreased 14.6%. The output of garments and fur decreased 6.2%, the output of finished metal work, machines and equipment excepted, declined 5.7%, the output of leather and footwear dropped 5.3%, the output of robber and plastic items decreased 2.3%, the output of paper and cardboard decreased1.3% and the output of soft goods dropped 1%.

The energy sector (generation and distribution of electricity and heat) reported the decline by 3.4% in this period. Heat and hot water supply decreased 5.4%, generation and distribution of power shrank 2.6%, NBS reports.
