OREANDA-NEWS. Kaluga Turbine Works OJSC (KTZ OJSC) – member of the Power Machines Company – has concluded a contract to supply power generation equipment for Voronezhskaya TPP-1.

The contract has been signed with Quadra JSC. Under the contract terms KTZ OJSC are to design, manufacture and supply two PT-25/34-3.4/1.3 steam turbines having a capacity 34 MW each and also to supply two generators produced by Elektrotyazhmash-Privod LLC (located in the town of Lysva, Perm Region). The scope of obligations of KTZ includes proving services on the equipment installation and commissioning supervision and putting it into operation. KTZ OSJC is to deliver the first package of equipment in November and the second one – in December 2014.

KTZ OJSC already had experience of cooperation with this customer when the plant supplied equipment for Kurskaya TPP and Voronezhskaya TPP-2. The project for which KTZ is to supply equipment under the contract signed has been given a name of "The Reconstruction of Voronezhskaya TPP-1". On this project's site the customer started to build a power unit with a 223 MW combined cycle power plant (CCPP) where the equipment supplied by KTZ OJSC will be operated.

PT-25 turbines are standard products of the plant, but for the parameters specified by the customer the project design will be changed to fulfill advanced requirements imposed to the cost-efficiency of the equipment supplied.
