OREANDA-NEWS. On 12 April, SCM Group employees, their families and partnership organisations are launching a volunteering campaign, the Clean City, to clean up the household rubbish from parks, squares and quays.

The initiative will bring together employees of SCM, Metinvest, DTEK, Corum, UMG, Portinvest, Parallel, Ukrtelecom, Vega, Life:), Media Group Ukraine, Lemtrans and other businesses operating under SCM Group's umbrella.

About 34,000 people are expected to join the spring clean.

“Our shareholder Rinat Akhmetov set us a goal to raise living standards in the cities, towns and villages where we operate and make them comfortable for living,” said Natalia Yemchenko, SCM's Director of Public Relations and Communications. “As a big business, we annually invest hundreds of millions hryvnias in sustainable development of Ukraine as a whole and our cities and towns in particular. In addition, SCM Group employees are willing to volunteer and make a personal input in changing the look of their cities. We are looking forward to the 12th of April to make our cities and towns cleaner and more comfortable.”
