OREANDA-NEWS. December 29, 2014. The World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors approved USD330 million in loan for Ukraine from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development as well as USD48.425 million in loan from the Clean Technology Fund for the Second Power Transmission Project.

An IBRD loan will be raised with a 5-year grace period, and repayment of 18 years. Today, the interest rate for loans is approximately 0.6% per annum.

A loan from the Clean Technology Fund will be raised with a 10-year grace period, repayment of 20 years and 0.75% interest rate. It will be aimed at improving the reliability of power supply through the rehabilitation of transmission stations and upgrading of the electricity transmission network.
