OREANDA-NEWS President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that Russian citizens are massively buying up goods in Belarus, as prices for products abroad have jumped. He believes that this is an opportunity for the country's agriculture to make good money.

"The situation is such that we need to do a good job in agriculture this and next year. Products abroad are expensive. Food prices have jumped. Russians come here and they buy everything. It's a golden year for agriculture!" said Lukashenko during a visit to JSC "Agrokombinat Yubileiny" in Orsha district on Tuesday.

The words of the head of state are quoted by the Pul Pervogo Telegram channel which is close with the presidential press service. He also drew attention to the importance of maintaining livestock in order to profit from animal husbandry. "There is hunger in the world. We can sell products. And our calves are dying", the President added.

At the same time, the Belarusian leader expressed confidence in the demand for Belarusian products in foreign markets. "Clothes, food. We do not have time to fulfill the orders that we receive at enterprises. Here you see the consequences of the sanctions. The demand is crazy now. We can sell everything we produce today" Lukashenko noted.
