OREANDA-NEWS  The Presidents of Russia and Kazakhstan Vladimir Putin and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev discussed the creation of a gas union with Uzbekistan at a meeting in the Kremlin yesterday, Tokayev's press secretary Ruslan Zheldibai wrote on social networks.

"It was about the creation of a "triple gas union" consisting of Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan in order to coordinate actions during the transportation of Russian gas through the territories of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan," the representative of the Kazakh leader explained.

Putin and Tokayev agreed that detailed trilateral consultations should be held with the participation of experts to find a rational solution taking into account the interests of all parties, Zheldibay added.As Tokayev said after a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Putin raised the topic of the "triple alliance" at the talks, but the Kazakh side needs to "delve into the topic" in order to come to the desired results.
