OREANDA-NEWS  The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia reached $3.71 billion by the end of 2022, which is 23.9% higher than in 2021, TASS reports, citing data from the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.

Exports of Azerbaijani products to Russia amounted to $975.46 million (an increase of 5.9% year–on-year), and imports of goods from Russia - $2.74 billion (an increase of 31.8%).

Thus, in 2022, Russia took the third place among the republic's trading partners after Italy and Turkey. The share of trade operations with the Russian Federation accounted for 7.04% of the total volume of Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover.

Earlier, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev noted the record growth of the republic's GDP, which reached 134 billion manats. At the same time, the country's external debt has sharply decreased in relation to GDP, amounting to 9.5%. This is reported by Rambler.
