OREANDA-NEWS  Cadillac has announced the signing of contracts with Finn Valtteri Bottas and Mexican Sergio Perez.

Both drivers will defend Cadillac colors in 2026, the team's debut year.

Bottas, 35, made his Formula 1 debut in 2013 and has completed 246 races (20 from pole position). He managed to win ten stages and reach the podium 67 times overall. He became the vice-champion of Formula 1 twice (2019, 2020), and took third place in the final individual standings the same number of times (2017, 2021).

35-year-old Perez started competing in Formula 1 in 2011. He has 281 years to his credit (3 from pole position), six wins, 39 podiums. In 2023, he became the vice-champion of the Royal Races.

Cadillac will be the 11th team to participate in the championship since the reporting period. This is the first addition to Formula 1 since 2016, when the American Haas team joined the team.
