OREANDA-NEWS Russia has won the first round of negotiations on Ukraine, Congressman Jake Auchincloss believes. His words are reported by Reuters.
The member of the House of Representatives noted that the Kremlin's position was normalized because Russia participated in bilateral diplomacy with the United States. "They sacrificed nothing to achieve this," he said.
On February 18, Russian-American talks took place in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. Moscow was represented by Kirill Dmitriev, as well as Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov. On the American side, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, National Security Adviser Mike Waltz and Donald Trump's special representative Steve Witkoff attended the talks.
