OREANDA-NEWS Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov spoke succinctly about Europe's demands to participate in negotiations on the Ukrainian settlement. This was announced by journalist Pavel Zarubin in his Telegram channel.
"Europe, in general, did not use all its chances," the diplomat said.
Earlier, Lavrov said that Europe had disrupted previous agreements on the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. The Russian Foreign Minister recalled that Europe had failed in the February 2014 agreement: "It did nothing when the opposition took away all government institutions."
The West also failed the Minsk agreements. In addition, Lavrov recalled the breakdown of the Istanbul agreements in April 2022. According to the Foreign Minister, this happened at the request of former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and "with the complete non-resistance of Europe."
