OREANDA-NEWS  London will pay very high prices for attempts to seize ships linked to the Russian Federation, Russian Ambassador to the UK Andrey Kelin said in a conversation with RIA Novosti.

In March, the British government announced that the British military would be able to board vessels under sanctions and transiting through its territorial waters. In addition, London will impose even greater restrictions by blocking British waters, including the English Channel, for sanctioned vessels. The statement emphasizes that the measure affects the so-called "shadow fleet", allegedly engaged in the transportation of Russian energy resources.

"Does London have the strength and recklessness to do this? Probably, yes. It would be wrong to relax and think that the British cannot do anything without the United States. The question is the price that London will have to pay for the attempt. It can be very high," Kelin said.
