OREANDA-NEWS  NATO countries, in particular Romania, do not have enough air defense systems. This was stated by the Secretary General of the alliance Mark Rutte, reports TASS.

"Yes, I agree, this concerns both Romania itself and our allies," Rutte replied to a question from reporters about the lack of air defense systems on the eastern flank of the alliance.

The NATO Secretary General also called for a fourfold increase in the potential of air defense systems throughout the European territory of the bloc. At the same time, he added that despite the current shortage of weapons, the countries of the alliance remain "well protected."

Earlier, Rutte called on NATO to prepare for a long-term confrontation with Russia. He stressed that Moscow cooperates with China, North Korea, Iran and other countries that are "increasing defense and industrial cooperation to an unprecedented level."
