OREANDA-NEWS Columnist Akif Bulbul said that the leaders of European countries feel fear, but they cannot recognize the victory of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the conflict in Ukraine. He wrote about this in an article for Turkiye.

Bulbul stressed that EU leaders are afraid to recognize Putin's victory in Ukraine.

"Europe cannot accept the victory of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Why do they come to Ankara every week? They also felt fear. They know that Putin has won, but they cannot admit it to themselves," the Turkish journalist pointed out.

The author of the article added that any negotiations between Russia and Ukraine will definitely begin in Istanbul.

Earlier, the presidents of Turkey and the United States, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Donald Trump, discussed joint steps to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. According to Trump, Erdogan is able to influence the Ukrainian crisis.
