OREANDA-NEWS Two Amur tiger cubs were born in the Moscow Zoo. This is reported by the Moscow 24 TV channel with reference to the zoo's general director Svetlana Akulova.

The cubs were born at the end of August at the Moscow Zoo's Rare Species Reproduction Center. Their parents, tigers Shiva and Amur-Orion, used to live in the wild.

The cubs, a male and a female, began to enter the outdoor enclosure quite recently, before that their mother did not let them go. In mid-November, they received the necessary vaccinations. The next time the veterinarians will examine the cubs is when they turn six months old.

For now, the cubs live in a separate enclosure with their mother. They eat milk for the first three months, but after the first month of life they taste meat for the first time.
