OREANDA-NEWS  The Russian authorities have managed to stabilize the burden of the military budget on the country's economy. This was stated by Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov. He was quoted by TASS.

According to the minister, this year it was possible to optimize military spending. At the same time, there was no decrease in the volume of arms purchases. In addition, all obligations regarding the monetary allowances of military personnel, social benefits and benefits are fulfilled.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Finance reported that the federal budget deficit in January-June had previously amounted to 3.4 trillion rubles, or 3.4 percent of GDP for the first half of the year.

There are forecasts that by the end of 2025, the deficit of the Russian federal budget will be many times higher than the levels planned a year earlier. According to some estimates, it could grow to eight trillion rubles.
