-NEWS The cost of renting apartments in large cities of the Russian Federation decreased by two percent in April. This was reported by the experts of the World of Apartments company, RIA Novosti writes.

According to experts, of the 70 cities studied in the country, removable "one-bedroom apartments" fell in price in 57, while in the remaining 13, on the contrary, they rose in price. The largest positive dynamics of rental rates was recorded in Vladivostok (plus 5.4 percent), Kaliningrad (plus 2.9 percent) and Sochi (plus 2.1 percent per month). The most noticeable decrease was observed in Yakutsk (minus 12.8 percent), Kirov (minus 9.8 percent) and Grozny (minus 7.7 percent). In Moscow, one-room lots lost 2.4 percent in price, the average rate for housing in this format was 55.8 thousand rubles per month. In the Moscow region, the indicator decreased by 0.9 percent, to 35.7 thousand rubles, and in St. Petersburg — by 0.3 percent, to 37.5 thousand rubles. On average, in all major cities of Russia, "one-night stands" fell in price by 2.1 percent, to 26 thousand rubles per month. The cost of renting "two—bedroom apartments", experts continued, on average in large cities decreased by 1.6 percent per month, to 32.6 thousand rubles, and "three-bedroom apartments" - by 1.6 percent, to 41.4 thousand rubles.

According to the company's specialists, at the moment the supply of rental housing in many cities exceeds demand. "In the last month alone, the number of objects on the market has increased: one—bedroom apartments have increased by 89 percent, two—bedroom apartments by 75 percent, and three-bedroom apartments by 60 percent," they concluded.
