OREANDA-NEWS  The ruble exchange rate rose significantly against the yuan on the Moscow Stock Exchange on Friday, for the third day in a row: the Chinese currency exchange rate was below 11.5 rubles, according to data from the Moscow Stock Exchange.

The exchange rate of the yuan calculated "tomorrow" at 19.00 Moscow time (by the close) for the day of trading decreased by 28 cents, to 11.25 rubles. And in a week, the yuan's exchange rate fell by 47 cents. The range of fluctuations in the yuan exchange rate during the week was 11.24-11.84 rubles. As for the dollar, the value of the one-day (with automatic rollover) settlement futures for the dollar-ruble exchange rate (USDRUBF) traded on the Moscow Stock Exchange can be used as a benchmark for its dollar exchange rate. It currently costs 85.11 rubles.

At the same time, the yuan accelerated its decline in the last hour of the session, consolidating below the level of 11.5 rubles, after the announcement of the arrival of US President Donald Trump's special envoy Stephen Witkoff in St. Petersburg for a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
