OREANDA-NEWS During the planned visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the roadmap of Moscow's proposed gas hub project in Turkey will be discussed. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to sources.

It is clarified that the gas hub project is one of the main items on the energy agenda of the upcoming negotiations. Developments on the roadmap will be proposed for consideration by the presidents — the leaders will give their instructions, the agency interlocutor noted.

In May 2023, Turkish Energy Minister Fatih Donmez promised that the hub for the supply of natural gas to Europe through the country, including the lost volumes of transit through Nord Stream, would be launched within a maximum of a year.

Vladimir Putin said that the gas hub project in Turkey does not provide for the storage of huge volumes of gas, but includes the creation of an electronic trading platform.
