Lavrov spoke about the response to the deployment of US nuclear weapons in the EU

OREANDA-NEWS Russia is forced to resort to "compensatory measures" in response to the US deployment of nuclear weapons in Europe, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
The Minister stressed that as a result of Western policy in Europe, the system of confidence-building measures and arms control has been destroyed, which includes the US withdrawal from a number of security treaties.
"Increased strategic risks are created as a result of the advanced deployment of American nuclear weapons in a number of European countries and the implementation of so-called "joint nuclear missions." This has an extremely destabilizing charge. Against the background of the general increase in threats from NATO forces us to resort to compensatory measures," Lavrov said at the High-level International Conference "Eurasian Security: Reality and Prospects in a transforming world."
