OREANDA-NEWS  Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia and France had good working relations, but French leader Emmanuel Macron broke them off. He stated this on a direct line during a conversation with journalists. 

"We are ready to continue to cooperate, but at some point the French president stopped relations with us. We didn't stop it, I didn't stop it, he stopped it," Putin said, adding that before that there were "quite good, good working relations" between the states.

At the end of the summer, Macaron announced that he planned to talk with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. According to him, negotiations will take place "when it is useful." Macron also said that he had previously discussed with the head of Russia the need to rebuild the geopolitical architecture of Europe.
