OREANDA-NEWS  The head of the legislation committee of the Crimean parliament, Sergei Trofimov, called on Vladimir Zelensky to moderate his appetites for Crimea.

In an interview with CNN, Zelensky said that Kiev cannot imagine Ukraine without Crimea, and as long as the peninsula remains Russian, the conflict will not end.

"All Zelensky's appetites for Crimea are groundless. All Zelensky can count on and claim is a hole from a bagel or from a dead donkey's ears. Crimea has always been part of Russia, has never legally left there, and therefore it needs to moderate its appetites. Crimea has always been, is and will be Russian," Trofimov said.

According to him, Zelensky should deal with the regions of Western Ukraine while they are still under his control, and leave the Russian Crimea alone.
