OREANDA-NEWS  Russia is going to ease the export duty on the export of petroleum products for refineries (refineries) with a capacity of up to 500 thousand tons, Izvestia writes. The agency proposed not to extend the protective duty on stable gas gasoline, aromatic hydrocarbon fractions, aviation gasoline, lubricating oils, petroleum petroleum jelly, paraffins and waxes.

It is noted that the final decision on this issue will be made by the government of the country, and the corresponding proposal to reduce the duty is stated in the message of First Deputy Minister of Energy Pavel Sorokin addressed to Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak. Earlier, the deputy chairman of the government was asked to cancel the fee by small and medium-sized refineries.

The business notes that most of the products cannot be sold on the domestic market, and small factories have serious problems due to overstocking. According to a representative of one of the mini-refineries, there are now tens of billions of rubles worth of fuel in warehouses. Due to the fact that naphtha is present in the technological cycle of production — straight-run gasoline, which cannot be sold on the domestic market, the products are not sold, while it is necessary to repay the loans that were taken for it.

The authorities introduced a duty of 50 thousand rubles per ton for enterprises with a capacity of up to one million tons per year in October 2023 against the background of the fuel crisis. She touched upon suppliers of petroleum products that do not produce them themselves. Thus, the government decided to stop the so-called gray exports, in which resellers receive fuel at domestic prices, and then ship it abroad.
