Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella is writing a book

OREANDA-NEWS. July 01, 2016.  Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella is working on a book called "Hit Refresh."

The book, his first, will deal with three main areas: Nadella's own "transformation," Microsoft's changes as a company, and the impact intelligent machines will have on society.

"Hit Refresh" will not be a memoir or a book on how to succeed, Nadella said in a statement Wednesday from the book's publisher, Harper Business. Rather, he said, "I am writing for Microsoft team members, customers, and partners in hopes that these stories of transformation will be useful to them as they navigate their own path."

Nadella's proceeds from the book will go to Microsoft Philanthropies, an organization within the company that focuses on issues like poverty and education.

Harper Business, an imprint of HarperCollins, will publish the book in fall 2017.
