OREANDA-NEWS  Temporary licensing of the export of apples from Belarus is being introduced in order to avoid their shortage in the domestic market, the press service of the government of the republic reported on Thursday.

"Starting from September 1, 2025, Belarus will introduce licensing for the export of apples for six months. The corresponding decree was signed by the Prime Minister," the message says.

The export of these products outside of Belarus, regardless of their country of origin, will be carried out under one-time licenses issued by the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, regional executive committees and the Minsk City Executive Committee.

The decision on the possibility of issuing such a license will be made by the authorized bodies based on an assessment of the ratio of the available resources of this product and the republic's need for it at the time of license approval.

"The resolution was adopted in order to provide the domestic market with apples in the off-season period in full," the report says.
