Source: OREANDA-NEWS
OREANDA-NEWS The most common reason why Russians choose non-alcoholic beverages (second-hand wine, second-hand beer, etc.) instead of alcoholic ones is their personal desire to give up alcohol.
Unwillingness to drink alcohol was cited as an argument by 25 percent of respondents. Another 11 percent of the respondents said they opt for second-hand drinks when they are in a company where alcohol is not drunk. 9 percent abstain from alcohol due to medication and driving, and 7 percent make an informed choice in favor of non-alcoholic alternatives.
At the same time, 89 percent of respondents who consumed similar drinks in the last six months said they periodically drink alcohol. Another 54 percent indicated that they do this on a regular basis. Only 7 percent of the respondents drink nothing but non-alcoholic alternatives.
A significant part of the survey participants (40 percent) indicated that the taste qualities of second-hand drinks are inferior to traditional alcohol. Another 40 percent questioned the possibility of soft drinks to create a relaxing atmosphere, and 47 percent added that they are difficult to find in shops and restaurants. At the same time, one third of the respondents said that the taste, quality and aroma of non-alcoholic wines have improved significantly recently.
Earlier it became known that the supply of used beer from Russia to other countries increased by a third in the first half of 2025. In total, from January to June, the country exported five thousand tons of this drink abroad. The main buyers of Russian non-alcoholic beer, according to the federal center "Agroexport", were Belarus, Kazakhstan and Iran.
