A criminal case on the embezzlement of more than 6 billion Rusnano rubles has been sent to court

OREANDA-NEWS The Prosecutor General's Office of Russia has approved an indictment in a criminal case against Boris Galkin, the former CEO of Plastic Logic, who is accused of especially large-scale embezzlement.
"The criminal case has been sent to the Gagarin Court of Moscow for consideration on the merits," the press service of the supervisory authority reported.
According to the investigation, from December 2011 to March 2021, Rusnano's Deputy Chairman of the Management Board, Yuri Udaltsov, together with the investment director of the investment division of this organization, Nikolai Tychinin (since 2012, a member of the Board of Directors of Plastic Logic), Galkin and unidentified persons, acting as part of an organized group, under the guise of implementing the Organization project. The production of displays and other devices using new generation plastic electronics technology" has squandered Rusnano's funds.
"In total, more than 6 billion 672 million 961 thousand rubles were stolen by transferring them to the Plastic Logic group of foreign companies. At the same time, the accomplices had no intention of building technological chains and ensuring the development of new production facilities in the field of nanotechnology on the territory of the Russian Federation," the Prosecutor General's Office said in a statement.
The investigation was conducted by the Investigative Department of the Russian Interior Ministry.
Galkin is accused of committing a crime under Part 4 of Article 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (embezzlement, that is, theft of someone else's property entrusted to the perpetrator). He faces up to 10 years in prison.
