OREANDA-NEWS  Russia is successfully using digital super services that combine business registration, banking, and tax compliance, and is ready to share these tools with UN member states.

This proposal was made at a meeting between Boris Titov, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Relations with International Organizations for Achieving Sustainable Development Goals, and Oscar Fernandez Taranco, Director of the United Nations Office for Development Coordination.

"We ask the UN Office to assist in raising awareness among UN country teams about this technological solution. In addition, we need to identify opportunities for integrating digital super services into national development programs, especially in cases where the informal sector is holding back economic growth," Titov said on Monday during a meeting on the sidelines of the UN high-level political forum in New York.

According to him, in Russia, the work of these services has brought tangible results. The number of registered small and medium-sized enterprises has increased by 700,000 in recent years, and tax revenues have almost doubled to $119 billion.

Titov also noted that access to loans has increased 2.8 times in six years, and the number of suspicious cash-out transactions has decreased by 64% from 2018 to 2024, from 176 billion to 64 billion rubles.

"Recognizing the global importance of this tool, we have begun to share it with partner countries. For example, in Kyrgyzstan, the introduction of the system has doubled the tax base for small and medium-sized businesses. The first step towards expanding cooperation in this regard with the UN system was taken at a recent meeting in Indonesia, where we agreed with UNCTAD to promote this initiative through a joint digital platform for SMEs for the Indonesian authorities. But there is no reason to stop there," Titov stressed.
