OREANDA-NEWS   A group of Russian climbers found themselves trapped in a snow trap in the mountains of Antarctica — they cannot continue their journey due to a severe blizzard. This is reported by the Telegram channel Shot.

It is specified that 12 people are stuck on the extinct volcano Sidli. Of the estimated 4,2 thousand meters, the Russians were able to overcome one and a half thousand and became hostages of the bad weather. The climbers have not been able to move for six days. At night, the air temperature in the area reaches minus 42 degrees.

It is known that the group is led by guides Artem Rostovtsev and Alexander Dorozhukov.

Earlier, a tourist who did not survive was found in Kazakhstan, who went to the mountains with two other climbers. On the night of December 26, the tour group stopped contacting.
