OREANDA-NEWS In Russia, the cost of air conditioners has increased by 10-15 percent on average over the year. Their sharp rise in price was announced by Daniil Friedman, head of the Electrical Goods category of the Lemana Pro home improvement store chain, in a conversation with RIA Novosti.

According to the expert, the average cost of air conditioners in April 2025 was about 20-35 thousand rubles for basic models, and up to 60 thousand rubles for premium models. He attributed the rise in price of devices to a number of factors, including currency fluctuations, inflation, and increased logistics, which led to supply difficulties and increased product costs.

Dmitry Ozhegov, director of the Rusklimat Holding's Air Conditioning Systems division, said that the average retail price of a classic air conditioner with a start-stop function increased by about four percent over the year, from 26,000 to 27,000 rubles. Inverter air conditioners, in turn, rose in price by 8.5 percent — from 35 thousand to 38 thousand rubles. The expert clarified that the corresponding amount increased, despite the strengthening of the ruble, due to an increase in the key interest rate.
