OREANDA-NEWS  Soon, operations with cryptocurrency may be legalized in Russia — it will be possible to officially buy and sell it. At the same time, control over the digital currency market will be strengthened. This was reported in the press service of the government of the country.

The relevant bill has already been submitted to the State Duma for consideration. "The bill creates clear and transparent rules for working with digital currency in Russia, including the launch of an organized exchange turnover. These measures are aimed at reducing the proportion of anonymous and illegal transactions with digital assets," explained Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko.

It is expected that all transactions with cryptocurrency will take place through legal intermediaries. At the same time, individuals — unqualified investors — will be able to buy liquid cryptocurrencies from the list of the Bank of Russia. The new requirements may come into force as early as July 1.

Earlier, Russians wishing to invest in cryptocurrency were warned about a huge number of risks.
