OREANDA-NEWS Russian business has saved about 60 billion rubles on fees thanks to the Fast Payment System (SBP), said Central Bank Governor Elvira Nabiullina, speaking in the State Duma.

"Another contribution of the financial system to reducing the costs of citizens and businesses is convenient, secure payments and transfers. Thanks to the Fast Payment System, we calculated how much the business has saved on fees – it has saved about 60 billion rubles, compared with the average card fees, which are higher," Nabiullina said, presenting the report on the work of the regulator for 2024 to the deputies.

"And we see that more outlets are offering payment through the SBP," she added.

"Another area of work in the future is the payment of kindergartens, clubs, other budget institutions and fines through the SBP. We see that this is in demand by citizens, plus there are no commissions for citizens, no errors in the details and the instant transfer of these funds to the budget," Nabiullina said.
