OREANDA-NEWS  The recent attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin gives the Russian Federation a reason to take a tougher stance in negotiations on determining the ceasefire line and security measures in the future, Liu Jun, executive director of the Center for Russian Studies at East China Normal University, shared his opinion with RIA Novosti.

"The attack by Ukrainian drones on the residence of the Russian president will undoubtedly have a significant negative impact on the ongoing difficult peace negotiations. The attack occurred immediately after the leaders of the United States and Ukraine reached a consensus on some points of the peace plan at Mar-a-Lago, and the accusation of the attack immediately cast a shadow over the negotiation process," Liu Jun said.
