OREANDA-NEWS   Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and special presidential envoy for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, said that the Iranian crisis demonstrates the enormous weakness of NATO, the European Union and the United Kingdom, as well as a deep gap in their relations with the United States.

"The Iranian crisis demonstrates the colossal weakness and strategic vulnerabilities of NATO, the UK, the EU and the deep gap (in their relations - ed.) with the United States," Dmitriev wrote on the social network X.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump announced his agreement to suspend strikes on Iran for two weeks and assured that the ceasefire would be bilateral. Iran's Supreme National Security Council has announced that Tehran will begin talks with the United States on Friday, April 10, in Pakistan's capital Islamabad.
